on thursday at 430pm i received a call informing me that the Pentagram/Gates of Slumber show in orlando would be canceled.  the decision to cancel the show was made about 30 seconds earlier.  i grabbed my phone and tried calling and texting everything in the camp to reconsider.  but nothing changed.  and my old friend james was on his way into town to see the show and now i had to inform him that the show was canceled.  so i picked him up at 730 from amtrak and he was just defeated.  he did find $20 on the ground but didn’t inform me of this until later.  we’ll get back to that later.  so thursday night, we go out and have a drink and just enjoy ourselves.  afterwards we went to pita pit to see andrew.  james thought i meant PETA pit and it was some food not bombs shit.  we ate and then headed home.  this whole time i was attempting to find a ride to atlanta because i could get us entry and a hotel, i just needed a ride up.  we went out friday the night of the show expecting to see our friends who also found out the show was canceled out.  as we walked up to matadors i got a call from digger.  he then was telling me about him thinking of going to atlanta.  i told him i’m in but we need room for two people.  he wanted to go right then.  i told him i’ll see him in the morning.  we then met up and with everyone and hit the road.  digger, sema, steve, james and me.  james got a crash course in orlando metal.  we traveled the 500 miles to atlanta and parked the van.  i hopped out as soon as we got there because i noticed the gates guys heading to take some showers with zoroaster.  so i ran up to the venue, rene was working, as was dylan, and charlie.  we headed up to the backstage and said hello to everyone.  soundcheck soon followed and karl from gates did the mic check.  then jared had to set up a second guitar rig.  the one and only bobby walked into the room and we immediately smiled at each other and gave each other big hugs.  he hopped up on stage and then was joined by another guitar player i didn’t know.  and then i heard bobby call out victor’s name.  we were in for a treat.  victor griffin was going to join pentagram for the last two songs tonight.  steve and james nearly lost their shit. afterwards we hung out with the guys and partied.  i then was passed the key to ringo’s room and we went to sleep.  woke up and drove home.  crashed out and then i dropped him off at the station.

i’m so bored i logged into irc.  i rarely ever log into aim. so this was odd.  however i guess i just don’t log onto it when i’m on tour.  i’m trying to adjust to normal life again.  not partying every night is tough.

it is currently 29 degrees outside and it isn’t much warmer in my house.
